Brownell Catalyst is an accelerator program designed for current travel advisors early in their career who are looking to further grow their luxury travel businesses with an established host agency. The program provides unparalleled access to comprehensive information, powerful tools, proven best practices, and the community collaboration necessary for a successful, scalable travel consulting business.
Founded in 1887 as the first travel agency in North America, Brownell has been pivotal in the industry’s evolution and paves the way for travel’s future. Brownell advisors are privy to the knowledge, experience, relationships, and community that come with more than 135 years in business.
Our team is dedicated to our advisors’ success, and in turn, they are more successful, earning about 4 times more than the industry average. And the best part is, our program allows entrepreneurs to leverage the established Brownell brand while maintaining their own brand identity and autonomy to build their own successful travel business.
Ideal candidates for Brownell Catalyst are existing travel advisors who are dedicated to travel consulting as a full-time career but find they do not have the infrastructure to capture, grow, or manage a significant book of business. Brownell Catalyst supports these advisors to get the training they need as entrepreneurs, meeting them where they are to help them define and launch their unique travel business.

Upon receipt of the completed inquiry form, the rolling application process includes a series of phone interviews, a business plan submission, supplier/client references, credit check, and background check.
The program lasts 6 months.
During training, participants will complete a proprietary workbook complete with specific training modules, conference calls, supplier certifications, and more that will help them graduate into our Hosting program.
During the Catalyst term, the advisor will work directly with a team of professionals who specialize in sales, entrepreneurship, marketing, social media management, product knowledge, vendor relations, and more to help propel the advisor’s business forward.
After graduation, the Brownell team will continue to support the advisor in virtually every facet of their business through Brownell Hosting. Brownell has a staff to advisor ratio of 1:5, ensuring support for the advisor’s business every step of the way. Learn more about our resources.
Yes! The expectation is for the advisor to hit a specific sales number before graduation from Brownell Catalyst.
There is a tuition fee associated with the program to cover the cost of training. The advisors will also be required to attend Brownell Academy within their first year with Brownell and will cover their costs to attend.
